Vi’s AI push with PwC India targets growing enterprise transformation market

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched Vi Intelligence, a strategic artificial intelligence (AI) initiative in partnership with PwC India, signalling its efforts to strengthen its position in the emerging enterprise AI and digital transformation market. The initiative aims to expand AI adoption across Vi’s internal operations and enterprise customers while creating new opportunities through next-generation technology solutions.

At the centre of the programme is the Vi Intelligence Lab, which will develop, incubate and scale enterprise AI applications. PwC India will establish a dedicated Centre of Excellence team at Vi’s Mumbai facility, combining the telecom operator’s digital infrastructure with consulting and transformation expertise. The lab will also connect global AI leaders, startups, research institutions and enterprises to address business challenges.

The initiative will focus on three pillars — Agentic, Assistive, and Sovereign and Responsible AI — as businesses increasingly explore intelligent automation and autonomous processes. All proposed use cases will be assessed under Vi’s GRACIE Responsible AI framework to ensure ethical and secure use of data, intellectual property and AI systems.

Jagbir Singh, CTO of Vi, said the initiative would support scalable AI adoption across customer engagement and business operations. Vinish Bawa, Partner and Leader, TMT, PwC India, highlighted the importance of responsible AI ecosystems in creating future-ready enterprises.

The lab will undertake incubation projects, proprietary technology development, global hackathons, innovation challenges, AI pilot deployments and workforce skilling programmes, positioning the partnership as a step towards strengthening enterprise competitiveness through AI.
