Nissan India posts 100% domestic growth in September, crosses 10,000-unit wholesale mark

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) recorded total wholesales of 10,025 units in September 2026, including 3,300 units in the domestic market and 6,725 units in exports, as the automaker strengthened its momentum ahead of the festive season.

Domestic wholesales increased 100% year-on-year from 1,652 units in September 2025. Nissan attributed the performance to growing customer demand for its expanding SUV portfolio, led by the all-new Nissan Tekton, Magnite and Gravite, alongside a rapidly expanding dealer network.

SaurabhVatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said the near-doubling of domestic volumes validates the company’s product-led strategy, network capabilities and the contribution of its finance and business partners. He also acknowledged international dealers, distributors and customers for supporting the company’s export performance.

In Guwahati, Nissan’s expanding SUV portfolio and dealer network could strengthen its customer reach as the festive season approaches. The availability of the Tekton, Magnite and Gravite gives the company a broader presence across key SUV segments, while improved ownership experiences remain central to its market strategy.

Exports stood at 6,725 units during September. Under its “One Car. One World.” strategy, Nissan continues to serve domestic and international customers with products built to consistent global quality standards, reinforcing India’s role in its global operations. The Tekton combines Nissan’s SUV DNA with Japanese craftsmanship, intelligent technology, performance and everyday practicality.
