Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) delivered more than 335 lakh LPG cylinders across India between April 1 and April 27, 2026, highlighting the scale and resilience of its nationwide energy distribution network amid rising demand. The company said its LPG infrastructure continues to ensure uninterrupted supply to millions of households and businesses across urban and rural markets.
To maintain seamless distribution, HPCL dispatched over 1,97,149 tankers during the period, including 10,505 tankers on April 27 alone. The company also supplied more than 7.17 lakh Free Trade LPG cylinders of 5 kg capacity and over 26,000 cylinders of 2 kg capacity, targeting migrant workers, small businesses, and low-consumption households seeking affordable cooking fuel options.
HPCL said its digital ecosystem has become a key driver of operational efficiency, with 99.3 per cent of LPG bookings now processed through digital platforms, enabling real-time demand tracking and faster delivery coordination.
In Guwahati, distributors said steady LPG supplies have helped prevent shortages despite increased household consumption and rising urban demand. Market observers noted that consistent cylinder availability has strengthened consumer confidence across Assam, particularly in rapidly expanding residential areas where LPG usage continues to grow.
The company also stepped up vigilance operations, conducting 6,096 inspections and taking action against 166 distributors to ensure smooth and transparent supply across its network.
