TVS Motor hosts environment workshop, releases nature-focused sustainability reports

TVS Motor Company hosted a multi-stakeholder workshop on World Environment Day 2026, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, academics and sustainability experts to discuss nature-positive and climate-resilient business growth. Organised in partnership with UN Global Compact Network India at the TVS Institute for Quality and Leadership in Anekal, Bengaluru, the event was held under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate.For Our Future.” The workshop was attended by Karnataka Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Eshwar B. Khandre, UN Global Compact Network India Executive Director RatneshJha, TERI Director General DrVibhaDhawan, representatives from PwC, TERI School of Advanced Studies, and senior sustainability leaders from across industries.

During the event, TVS Motor released a white paper titled “Nature Capital as a Strategic Business Imperative in India,” developed jointly with PwC and TERI School of Advanced Studies. The paper examines the role of ecosystem services such as water, biodiversity, soil health and climate regulation in supporting business resilience and long-term value creation. The company also published its inaugural Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD)-aligned report, “Mobility in Harmony with Nature,” becoming one of the first automotive companies in India to adopt the framework.

TVS Motor said the report reflects its efforts to integrate nature-related risks and opportunities into business decision-making. The company highlighted its sustainability achievements, including three Indian plants attaining Zero Waste to Landfill and Net Water Positive status, around 97 per cent renewable energy use in Indian operations, and continued investments in electric mobility, recycling and circular economy initiatives.
